What is a monofilament wig?
The short answer is that monofilament wigs have a higher quality cap construction, where hairs are sewn in just a few at a time. This results in a a flatter and less detectable top-of-the-head, front hairline, and part. Monofilament wigs tend to offer a more natural look, and they've been growing in popularity for the last several years now. They do take longer to make and as a result tend to be more expensive. What’s the deal with lace front wigs?
Originally designed by Hollywood hair and make-up specialists for use in film close-ups, the hair line of a lace front wig is made out of delicate, sheer lace material. The lace material used— usually either Swiss or French lace— is knotted into the cap and is virtually undetectable when placed against the skin. If you're looking the illusion of natural hair growth, lace front wigs, whether made of human or synthetic hair, can be a great option.

What is your policy regarding changing or canceling orders?
We will be happy to change or cancel an order, provided you contact us within one business day of the order being placed. To cancel an order, please call us at 1-800-927-0874 or if you are outside the US, call 1-818-761-9447 for international customers. You will need to confirm with your sales representative that your order has not yet shipped. Please note the name of your sales representative and the date that he or she cancelled your order.
Can I order by phone?
Absolutely! Though the Wilshire Wigs online system is an easy and secure way of ordering your product, we invite you to speak with one of our many knowledgeable customer service representatives or one of our on-staff cosmetologists. Please call us toll free at 1-800-927-0874 Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Pacific Standard Time, or on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you're calling from out of the country, try us us at 1-818-761-9447.
Can you mail me a catalog?
Because we’re constantly adding the newest hair products to our extensive inventory, we do not offer a mail order catalog. If you are interested in manufacturers' catalogs, please let us know. As a rule, we can get any name-brand wig currently in production. So if you see a wig elsewhere and not on our site, please don’t hesitate to ask: we should be able to get it for you.
When will my order ship?
We boast among the industry’s largest inventory with over 100,000 items in our warehouse, so there’s a good chance we have your item is in stock and can ship the very day you place the order. If the item or items are not currently in stock in our warehouse, we can usually get them in within one to three business days. Occasionally, an item can be on backorder from the manufacturer for an extended period. If this is the case, we'll notify you of the status of your order and when you can expect to receive it.
How do I place an online order?
First, click on the product you wish to purchase. Next, select the color you want; then click the "Add To Cart" button. To view your shopping cart, click on the "View Cart" icon at the top of your screen. At this point, you can remove items from your cart by clicking the "Remove" button, update the quantity of an item with the "Update" button, or continue shopping by using your browser's "Back" button. When you're ready to place your order, click on the “Proceed to Checkout" icon, then follow the on-screen instructions.
How do I use a credit voucher?
If you wish to apply a credit voucher to your order, please provide the voucher number in the "Customer Notes" box on our secure checkout page. You should write something to the effect of, ”Please apply credit voucher #123456 to this order.” We will gladly apply the credit when we process your order.
How quickly do you respond to emails?
We try to answer emails within one business day, but in some cases it may take us an extra day to respond. If you haven't received a response within a couple days, there’s a chance your email provider has sent it to your spam mailbox, so you will want to configure your email settings to allow mail from wilshirewigs.com. If you still haven't gotten a reply from us, give us a call toll free at 1-800-927-0874.
What’s the best way to select a color?
Choosing the right color can be trickiest part of selecting a wig, especially when your only guide is a color chart viewed on your computer monitor.
If you have purchased wigs before, you may already know the exact color you want. But if you're choosing a color for the first time, please remember that color charts on your computer can never be 100% accurate.
You may want to consider ordering a Color Ring to help you choose the color that suits you best. A color ring consists of individual swatches of fiber in colors that the product comes in, and they cost between $10 and $130, depending on the manufacturer. Each manufacturer uses its own color system, so be sure to choose the color ring for the brand you're interested in. When you're finished with the color ring, feel free return it for full store credit.
Another option would be to send us a small hair sample and request the closest available color match.
Many people call and ask us to choose a color for them. While our customer service representatives and licensed cosmetologists are among the best in the business, it can nearly impossible to choose the right color for someone over the phone. We will do our best to suggest colors that work best for you, but we can’t guarantee that our suggestions will end up being exactly what you want. Keep in mind: any time you order a color without first seeing it on a wig or color ring, you're taking a risk.

How can I pay for my web order?
We accept American Express, Discover, Mastercard, and Visa. We do not accept personal checks, but are happy to accept cashier's checks and money orders. For international orders, we are currently accepting only Western Union payments. If you pay by credit card, for security reasons, we can only ship to the address on record with your credit card company. If you need your order shipped to a different address, please mail, email, or fax us a signed letter of authorization faxed or mailed to us.
When will my order be processed?
All orders placed on our Web Site will be processed by the end of the next business day, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the order is ready to ship that days. For more info, refer to our shipping policy.)
Will I be taxed on my orders?
If your shipping address is outside of Wilshire Wig’s home state of California, you will not be charged sales tax. In-state orders will be charged sales tax.

What should I do if my package is damaged during shipping?
If you receive damaged merchandise, please contact us immediately. You'll be able to return it to us at no cost to you.
How long will it take my order to arrive?
It depends on your choice of shipping method. For UPS Ground shipments, delivery to the West Coast generally takes one to three working days; for the Midwest deliveries, expect the order to arrive in roughly three to four working days; for East Coast, it will likely take four to five working days. UPS and FedEx Ground are not available for shipments to Alaska or Hawaii; these orders will ship via UPS Air. Packages shipped via UPS Air to Alaska or Hawaii usually arrive within two to three working days. Delivery times to areas outside the United States will vary. Please contact us for more information.
When will my order ship?
We process internet orders each weekday at 9 a.m. Orders placed after 9 a.m. Friday or over the weekend will be processed first thing Monday. If we have the item in stock, it will ship the same day or the next day. If we don’t, we’ll order it from the manufacturer that day, and ship it out the day we receive it. It usually takes one to three business days for the merchandise to reach us. We do not ship on Saturdays or Sundays. If we do not have the item in stock, most manufacturers can "drop ship" the package directly to you. This can speed up the delivery by one or two days. The charge for this service is $35.00 per manufacturer. Occasionally, neither Wilshire Wigs nor the manufacturer has the item in stock. In this case, there will be an additional delay of between one or two weeks. On very rare occasions, it can take as long as three months, and sometimes even longer. If the delay turns out to be longer than a week, we will notify you.
By what time do I have to place an order to have it ship that day?
All orders placed through our website are processed the next business day (not including Saturday). Items that are currently in stock can be shipped the same day if the order is called in no later 3:00 P.M. Pacific Standard Time. So if you're in a rush, don’t hesitate to give us a ring.

What are your return and exchange policies?
WILSHIRE WIGS RETURN AND EXCHANGE POLICY
This return policy is effective as of November 8, 2019, the return policy for order shipped or picked up before this date are written on the invoice of those orders.
WEB AND PHONE ORDER RETURN POLICY:
All orders are eligible to receive a FULL REFUND, details and exceptions as follows:
- Item must be return and postmarked within 14 days (10 business days) of ship date. After that date items are no longer returnable.
- You will need to print our USPS return label from the button below. Upon printing the return label you accept $9.99 will be deducted from the paid order amount.
-The following items are not returnable: items marked Clearance or Closeout, Hair Care Products (shampoos, conditioners, etc.), and all Accessories (wig caps, styrofoam heads, etc.)
-Item must be in factory condition and must include the original undamaged box and packaging, and all hang tags must be still attached. Items may be tried on but cannot be brushed out, used, worn, or altered in any way, nor have any product or perfume on them.
-if there is a shipping charge on the invoice, that shipping amount will not be refunded.
-Any discounts or coupons may not be applied to exchanged items.
- Customers who frequently return items may be subject to a restock fee. In such case they would notified in advance.
IN STORE RETURN POLICY:
All items purchased in our North Hollywood showroom are final sale (not valid for return, store credit, or exchange).
-Items ordered for pickup must be picked up within 14 days (10 business days). Ordered items are eligible for store credit minus a 15% restock fee if not taken at the time of pickup. Ordered items taken out of the showroom are not valid for return, store credit, or exchange.
No RMA or advance permission from Wilshire Wigs is needed to send returns back to us. Mail any eligible items (see above return policies for any exclusions) postmarked within 14 days (10 business days) of the ship date to the following address:

Please include a copy of your email confirmation or invoice with the returned item or items. Please write on it if you would like a refund, store credit, or an exchange for a different item.
If you would like to exchange an item or items, please specify the style name, brand, cap size (if applicable), and color of the new item or items.

How often should I wash my wig?
A good rule of thumb: wash your wig or hair piece every 10 to 15 days of regular wear to keep it looking its best. Check out our guidelines for the best way to wash and care for your synthetic or human hair wig or hairpiece.
How do I figure out what size wig I should get?
For best fit, you’ll need a tape measure to figure out the circumference of your head. After that, consult our basic size information page. If you still have any questions, feel free to contact one of our representatives and we will be glad to help.
